Christmas in the Village
Roving carolers, Santa visits, horse-drawn carriage rides, hay rides pulled by antique tractors, ice sculptures, kids activities, & much much more return to kick off the holiday season during Canal Winchester’s annual storybook Christmas celebration! This ever-popular event will be held again in the city’s historic downtown on Friday, December 4th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 5th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (see maps below). Activities will take place on the sidewalks and streets as well as inside several business establishments around the city’s municipal office building at 36 S. High Street. All activities at the event are free and open to everyone! Christmas in the Village is a partnership between the City of Canal Winchester and Destination: Canal Winchester. This free community event would not be possible without the support of many local businesses and volunteers.
New this year will be an expanded Santa procession with lighted vehicles (click HERE for map) and "Meet the Grinch"! Returning favorites include the Art & Craft Bazaar and the Gingerbread House competition. This is one holiday event that won't fail to put you in the spirit of the season!
‘Tis the season for holiday specials and free activities throughout downtown!
